Audio Visual Technician - Join Our Hotel Event Team
Primepower Manpower Services is actively seeking a skilled Audio Visual AV Technician to support hotel events in Malate, Metro Manila. In this role, you will install, operate, and maintain audio, video, and lighting equipment to support conferences, meetings, and social events. You will collaborate with event managers, hotel staff, and technicians to deliver reliable, high-quality AV experiences while ensuring safety and proper equipment care. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate AV equipment including sound systems, projectors, screens, and lighting for events in hotel spaces.
- Configure and test audio, video, and lighting to ensure optimal performance before guest arrivals.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions during events and perform on-site repairs as needed.
- Maintain cables, racks, and back-of-house areas in a clean, safe, and organized state.
- Coordinate with event planners and hotel staff to align AV resources with program schedules.
- Monitor and adjust audio levels, video feeds, and lighting cues in real time.
- Record and report equipment usage, maintenance needs, and post-event debriefs.
- Assist with loading in/out, inventory control, and equipment transportation when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an AV technician or similar role, preferably in hotel or live events.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, audio mixing, video switching, projection, and lighting control.
- Hands-on experience with equipment such as mixers, amplifiers, digital consoles, projectors, screens, and playback devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Good communication, teamwork, and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
- Willingness to work in Malate, Metro Manila and adhere to safety and hotel policies.
- High school diploma or technical/vocational training; certifications in AV technology are a plus.
