Join Kikijaya Airconindo, a trusted automotive air conditioning and vehicle cooling specialist serving Jakarta. We are looking for a skilled Automotive Mechanic who specializes in car air conditioning (AC Mobil) repairs to join our contract team. In this role, you will diagnose, service, and repair HVAC systems, electrical components, and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal comfort, reliability, and safety for our customers.
This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team, use modern diagnostic tools, and develop expertise across automotive HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, and general mechanical repair. You’ll be responsible for accurate service documentation and collaborating with technicians and customers to provide transparent maintenance recommendations.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing AC systems (compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant lines), performing refrigerant charging and vacuum tests, leak detection, electrical diagnostics, and performing general tune-ups and repairs as needed. You will also interpret service manuals, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean, organized workshop.

Responsibility
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair automotive air conditioning systems (compressor, condenser, evaporator, refrigerant lines) and related components.
- Perform refrigerant charging, vacuum tests, leak detection, and pressure testing to ensure optimal cooling performance.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics, wiring checks, and troubleshooting of HVAC-related sensors and controls.
- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs to support vehicle performance and safety.
- Interpret service manuals and technical diagrams; document service actions clearly and accurately.
- Collaborate with team members, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and communicate with customers on service plan and costs.
- Adhere to safety standards, proper handling of refrigerants, and compliance with local regulations.
Qualification
- Proven experience as automotive mechanic with focus on car air conditioning or auto HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with refrigerants, leak detection methods, and HVAC diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals; basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and good communication.
- Ability to work on a contract basis in Jakarta and adapt to a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Technical diploma or equivalent training in automotive technology or apprenticeship; ASE certification is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on role with a customer-first mindset.
- Physical ability to perform repairs and stand for extended periods; own tools preferred.
