ISS Global is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team in Karawang, West Java. As a Welder you will operate MIG, TIG and stick welding equipment, set up assemblies, perform tack welds, and inspect welds for defects. Responsibility
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols to determine assembly requirements
- Set up welding equipment for MIG, TIG, and stick welding and prepare materials, jigs, and clamps
- Weld components with precision according to specifications and quality standards
- Inspect welds using visual checks and basic measurement tools; document results
- Prepare and clean weld joints; perform tack welds and fit up
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to resolve design or fit up issues
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and comply with PPE policies
Qualification
- Proven welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Knowledge of welding codes and quality control processes
- Familiarity with measurement tools and tolerances; strong attention to detail
- Good safety mindset and ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; flexible to shift schedules if required
- Welding certification such as AWS or Indonesian equivalents is preferred
