Join our leading biology team in Cambridge, MA. We are seeking a Research Scientist to drive genomics, molecular biology, and data-driven discoveries. At PhotonBio Labs, you will design experimental plans, execute assays, analyze complex datasets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate findings into actionable insights.
Responsibility
- Design and execute experiments in genomics and molecular biology to test hypotheses and validate results.
- Develop and optimize assays, including qPCR, ELISA, and cell-based assays.
- Plan, execute, and troubleshoot experiments; manage timelines and milestones.
- Analyze data using Python and R; generate clear, publication-ready figures and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Bioinformatics, Clinical, and Product) to drive projects forward.
- Maintain accurate lab notebooks; write and maintain SOPs and protocols.
- Contribute to scientific communications, manuscripts, and internal presentations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, GLP/GMP guidelines, and quality systems.
Qualification
- Master's degree in biology, biotechnology, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology and cell culture.
- Proficiency in data analysis with Python and R; experience with NGS workflows is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, experimental design, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex data clearly.
- Experience with GLP/GMP, SOPs, and laboratory safety standards.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
