As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will manage video and audio routing, IP-based transport, and automation systems, while championing uptime, safety, and compliance standards. This role offers a dynamic blend of studio and remote production, with opportunities to innovate and optimize our broadcast workflows.

Responsibility

  • Configure and monitor live program feeds, ingest, playout automation, and media asset management.
  • Troubleshoot on-air issues quickly, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute live events, remote shoots, and post-production workflows.
  • Implement and maintain encoding/transcoding pipelines for streaming (HLS/RTMP/RTSP) and CDN distribution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, calibrations, and equipment inventories; adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical leadership during high-pressure live broadcasts.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on broadcast engineering experience in studio or live event environments.
  • Deep knowledge of SDI/HD-SDI, IP video transport (SMPTE 2110, NDI), audio routing, and control-room automation.
  • Experience with playout automation and newsroom systems (e.g., Ross, Grass Valley, Imagine Communications) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with encoders/decoders, streaming protocols (HLS, RTMP, RTSP), and CDN distribution.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; able to work under pressure during live productions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by live events; willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and FCC compliance or other regulatory guidelines is a plus.
