Job description

Nova Broadcast Solutions is seeking a Senior Broadcast Producer to join our London-based team. You will lead end-to-end production for live and recorded programs across television, streaming, and digital platforms. This role blends strategic storytelling with operational excellence to deliver premium content on time and on budget.

As a key member of the editorial leadership, you will collaborate with reporters, editors, producers, and technical staff to craft compelling, audience-first narratives across multiple platforms, while upholding the highest journalistic standards.

Responsibility

  • Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of live broadcasts and recorded programs, maintaining editorial integrity and technical quality.
  • Direct production teams, crews, and external vendors; manage budgets, resources, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with editors to develop story ideas, write or approve scripts, and craft rundowns and graphics.
  • Oversee post-production workflow including editing, color correction, audio mixing, and QC checks.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofcom regulations, rights management, and safety guidelines.
  • Mentor and develop junior producers, interns, and freelancers; foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Coordinate cross-platform distribution for TV, online, and social channels to maximize reach and engagement.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
  • 5+ years in broadcast production, newsroom, or live event environment; leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex multi-camera productions and fast-paced live control room operations.
  • Proficiency with industry software (e.g., Avid/Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, After Effects) and graphics tools.
  • Strong storytelling, editorial judgment, and ability to translate ideas into compelling on-air content.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills; ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of UK broadcasting regulations (Ofcom) and compliance requirements.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
