Responsibility

  • Oversee live production setups, camera feeds, audio, graphics, and playback for broadcast and streaming.
  • Operate and troubleshoot key broadcast systems including switchers, routers, recorders, and playback servers.
  • Collaborate with directors and producers to execute the Run of Show and shot list with precision.
  • Monitor signal integrity, manage on-air quality, and implement failover procedures during outages.
  • Lead pre-show checks, test graphics and media playout, and coordinate remote feeds.
  • Maintain technical documentation, asset management, and inventory for all studio infrastructure.
  • Train, schedule, and manage junior technicians and freelance operators on-site.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, or equivalent hands-on experience in live broadcasting.
  • 3+ years in live broadcasting, control room operations, or equivalent technical production roles.
  • Proficiency with broadcast gear and software (switchers, cameras, audio consoles) and familiarity with software like OBS, vMix, or Viz Engine.
  • Strong knowledge of SDI/HDMI, NDI, RTMP, and streaming architectures; comfortable with live graphics and replay workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-site in Los Angeles; on-call availability for urgent outages.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., OSHA-10, and vendor-specific certifications) are a plus.
