Recogine is seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development Executive to spearhead our growth initiatives in Malaysia. In this role you will identify new opportunities, build strong partnerships, and drive revenue by expanding our market presence. You will work closely with sales, marketing, product, and leadership to turn insights into action and deliver measurable results.

As a vital member of our commercial team, you will own the end-to-end business development lifecycle—from market discovery and prospecting to proposal development and deal closure. You will craft compelling value propositions, qualify leads, manage a healthy pipeline, and ensure an excellent customer experience for new and existing clients. Responsibility

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Malaysia, focusing on high-potential sectors and channels.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, qualify leads, and manage the end-to-end sales cycle from discovery to close.
  • Develop and present compelling value propositions, tailored proposals, and persuasive presentations to prospects and partners.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create demand generation campaigns and align messaging with market needs.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities; share insights with product and leadership.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on pipeline metrics, forecasts, and performance; maintain accurate CRM records and activity plans.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in B2B sales or business development; experience in tech or SaaS is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong strategic thinking, market research capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and MS Office; data-driven with good reporting abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus; willing to travel as needed.
