Private Advertiser invites applications for a dedicated Physiotherapy Lecturer based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical expertise with university-level teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship. In this role, you will deliver engaging lectures, lead laboratory and clinical skills sessions, and guide students through complex case-based learning. You will also develop and update course materials, assessments, and rubrics to ensure fair, transparent grading and accurate measurement of student performance.
As a member of our academic team, you will collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and industry partners to integrate real-world practice into the curriculum. You will participate in program reviews, accreditation activities, and scholarly activities that advance physiotherapy education. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners in a dynamic, forward-looking private education institution.
Responsibility
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions in physiotherapy for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, using evidence-based teaching methods.
- Design, update, and align course materials, syllabi, learning objectives, assessments, and rubrics to ensure fairness and transparency in grading.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive teaching files and academic records in line with institutional policies.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students; mentor and supervise clinical skills labs and student projects.
- Collaborate with clinical partners and industry to integrate current clinical guidelines and real-world practice into the curriculum.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program reviews, and accreditation activities to ensure quality of education and continuous improvement.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and conference presentations; support student research projects.
- Participate in department and university service, committees, and community outreach to support a thriving academic environment.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Physiotherapy or a closely related field; PhD is an advantage.
- Active clinical practice or recent clinical exposure with ongoing engagement in evidence-based practice.
- Teaching experience or demonstrated ability to educate adult learners; strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of curriculum design, assessment frameworks, and educational technology.
- Ability to design and implement learning activities that accommodate different learning styles and inclusivity.
- Record of scholarly activity, such as research, publications, or conference presentations; commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, professional ethics, and service to the academic community.
