Join Micron Semiconductors in Singapore as a CE Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) FA Engineer. You will lead advanced failure analysis and yield improvement for complex devices, translating data-driven insights into robust process and design changes. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that partners with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, process engineering, device engineering, and equipment groups to maximize yield, reliability, and product quality for Micron’s cutting-edge memory and logic technologies.

In this role you will diagnose root causes of device failures, perform thorough characterization, and apply state-of-the-art techniques to isolate, understand, and mitigate yield loss mechanisms. You will leverage DOE, statistical process control, and data analytics to drive improvements that translate into measurable manufacturing gains. What you’ll do: lead complex failure analyses, champion CAPA actions, implement measurement and metrology improvements, and mentor junior engineers. You will also support qualification activities and sustainment efforts for high-volume production lines while ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards are met.

Responsibility

  • Lead root-cause analysis and failure investigation for CE products to improve yield and reliability.
  • Plan and execute DOE studies, SPC analyses, and data-driven experiments to identify yield-limiting factors.
  • Collaborate with process, device, and equipment teams to implement robust process and metrology improvements.
  • Perform advanced device characterization and failure analysis using SEM/EDS, cross-sectioning, and electrical tests.
  • Develop and deploy automation for data collection, visualization, and reporting; create actionable dashboards.
  • Drive CAPA and FMEA processes; monitor effectiveness and sustainment of yield improvements.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers; share best practices and contribute to training programs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of semiconductor yield engineering experience for senior level; 3+ years for engineer level candidates considered for progression.
  • Strong experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and yield improvement across semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools (Python, SQL, JMP/Minitab) and DOE methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of CMOS device physics, metrology, and process integration; hands-on characterization skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver measurable results.
