Harborview Midwifery & Wellness is seeking a collaborative and compassionate Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join our growing team in San Francisco, CA. Responsibility

  • Deliver comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for diverse patient populations
  • Lead birth planning discussions and support families through labor with evidence-based practices
  • Perform routine exams, screenings, and risk assessments; order and interpret results
  • Provide postpartum support, lactation consultation, and newborn care education
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and social workers to coordinate care
  • Document in electronic medical records and maintain compliance with patient privacy regulations
  • Mentor and precept student midwives and new staff; contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualification

  • Current CNM license to practice in California
  • Board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of clinical midwifery experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based maternity care and newborn assessment
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and collaborative teamwork
  • BLS and NRP certification; ability to manage emergencies with composure
