We are seeking a motivated Public Health Analyst who can translate complex data into actionable insights, work with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making that improves health outcomes for communities across the region.
Responsibility
- Lead surveillance and data analysis to identify health trends, risk factors, and disparities relevant to local populations.
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs and policy interventions to improve population health outcomes.
- Collaborate with local health departments, community organizations, and academic partners to align efforts and share best practices.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and policy briefs for diverse audiences, including policymakers, funders, and the public.
- Develop and deliver health communications, outreach strategies, and educational materials to promote healthy behaviors.
- Support grant writing, proposal development, and monitoring of project budgets and milestones.
- Ensure ethical data handling, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field; PhD preferred for advanced roles.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on public health experience in epidemiology, program evaluation, or health surveillance.
- Strong statistical and analytical skills with proficiency in R, SAS, SPSS, Python, or SQL.
- Experience working with publicly available health data sources and surveillance systems; ability to clean, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
- Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and compelling communications for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, grant writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced public health environment.
