As a CNM, you will provide evidence-based prenatal care, labor support, birth planning, postpartum follow-up, and gynecologic services in collaboration with obstetricians and other health professionals.
Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal and intrapartum care for low-risk pregnancies and select high-risk cases in collaboration with the obstetric team
- Offer skilled labor support and continuous presence during active labor when appropriate
- Develop and implement individualized birth plans with families and respect cultural preferences
- Monitor fetal well-being, order and interpret routine tests, and coordinate care with the broader health team
- Deliver postpartum care including lactation support, family planning, and newborn education
- Educate patients on prenatal nutrition, risk reduction, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualification
- Current Certified Nurse-Midwife credential and Oregon licensure or eligibility
- Active BLS/ACLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of clinical midwifery experience preferred
- Strong communication, empathy, and cultural competency skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
