Overview

What you will do

Collaborate with multi discipline teams to develop and implement process designs, perform mass and energy balances, and optimize reaction and separation steps. Lead technology transfer from lab to pilot to production. Ensure compliance with safety environmental and quality standards. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capital project execution. Communicate results through clear technical reports and presentations.

Responsibility

  • Lead process design and optimization across unit operations to meet safety and efficiency targets
  • Perform mass and energy balances and simulate using industry tools
  • Conduct HAZOPs risk assessments and support process safety compliance
  • Lead scale up from lab to pilot to production with equipment selection and commissioning
  • Collaborate with Operations Maintenance and Quality to deliver reliable processes and robust operating procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement through DOE data analysis and optimization projects
  • Support CAPEX projects with cost estimation risk analysis and scheduling

Qualification

  • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical process design and operations
  • Proficiency with process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus HYSYS CHEMCAD
  • Strong knowledge of mass and energy balances heat exchanger and reactor design
  • Solid understanding of process safety management and risk assessment
  • Experience leading projects and collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Houston or nearby area
