Responsibility

  • Perform design calculations and prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for civil components including site grading, drainage, utilities, pavement, and structures.
  • Review and develop design concepts, perform quality control, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, design memos, and construction documents for permitting and bidding processes.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Conduct field inspections, monitor construction quality, safety, and schedule adherence; resolve on-site issues.
  • Use BIM-enabled workflows to model designs and support clash detection and coordination.
  • Support project management activities including scheduling, resource planning, and risk assessment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; master's degree and PE license preferred or demonstrated progress toward licensure.
  • 3+ years of professional civil engineering experience in design and project delivery across municipal, transportation, or site development projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM software; strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of drainage, grading, roadway design, utility design, and construction materials.
  • Experience with permitting processes, code compliance, and QA/QC practices.
  • Strong collaboration, organization, and problem-solving abilities with a client-focused mindset.
  • Proactive learner with capacity to mentor junior engineers and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
