Responsibility
- Perform design calculations and prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for civil components including site grading, drainage, utilities, pavement, and structures.
- Review and develop design concepts, perform quality control, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare technical reports, design memos, and construction documents for permitting and bidding processes.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
- Conduct field inspections, monitor construction quality, safety, and schedule adherence; resolve on-site issues.
- Use BIM-enabled workflows to model designs and support clash detection and coordination.
- Support project management activities including scheduling, resource planning, and risk assessment.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; master's degree and PE license preferred or demonstrated progress toward licensure.
- 3+ years of professional civil engineering experience in design and project delivery across municipal, transportation, or site development projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM software; strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of drainage, grading, roadway design, utility design, and construction materials.
- Experience with permitting processes, code compliance, and QA/QC practices.
- Strong collaboration, organization, and problem-solving abilities with a client-focused mindset.
- Proactive learner with capacity to mentor junior engineers and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
