SummitEdge Civil Engineering is hiring a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Denver design team. This role focuses on delivering high quality infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design roads, drainage systems, utilities, and site developments, while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The position offers a clear path to leadership on large projects and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and analysis of civil infrastructure components including streets, drainage, and utilities.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and design calculations.
- Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
- Conduct site visits and field surveys to validate design assumptions.
- Assist with permitting, approvals, and due diligence efforts.
- Prepare technical reports and communication materials for stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering; master's preferred.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer PE licensure is preferred or obtainable within 12 months.
- Strong knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and hydrology/hydraulic tools.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, IBC, and local building codes.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and travel to field sites as needed.
