Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate field surveying operations for multiple projects, planning workflows, and assigning tasks to crew members
- Perform and supervise boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, including stakeouts and as-built records
- Manage field data collection, QA/QC, and data processing in desktop GIS/CAD environments
- Produce accurate survey drawings, plats, and technical reports in compliance with local codes and standards
- Mentor junior survey staff, provide training on equipment, safety, and best practices
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and authorities to ensure project scope, schedule, and budget alignment
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and risk management on all field activities
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Professional Surveyor license in Colorado preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months
- 5+ years of field surveying experience with robotic total stations, GNSS, and data collection workflows
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and Trimble software including Trimble Business Center
- Strong knowledge of Colorado surveying standards and boundary law, with meticulous record keeping
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client facing skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally as required
