Responsibility

  • Lead civil and structural design for municipal, transportation, and site development projects.
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and cost estimates; ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and contractors throughout design and construction.
  • Conduct feasibility analyses, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.
  • Prepare permit applications and manage regulatory approvals with DOT, city, and state agencies.
  • Perform structural analysis and modeling using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit; review contractor submittals.
  • Provide construction administration, site visits, and QA/QC oversight to ensure project quality and safety.
  • Mentor junior staff and support business development through technical proposals.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred; EIT accepted with plan to obtain PE.
  • 3-6 years of civil engineering experience in municipal, transportation, or site development projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MS Office; familiarity with project management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO, DOT standards, and local codes; ability to interpret and apply regulations.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities; client-facing experience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and field data collection as needed (up to 20%).
