Join Northbridge Engineering as a Civil Engineer in Seattle. You will design and oversee the delivery of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects from concept through construction. We are seeking a proactive professional who can manage design tasks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with local and federal codes. This position provides exposure to a wide range of projects, from roadways and drainage to site development and structural enhancements.
Responsibility
- Lead civil and structural design for municipal, transportation, and site development projects.
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and cost estimates; ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and contractors throughout design and construction.
- Conduct feasibility analyses, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.
- Prepare permit applications and manage regulatory approvals with DOT, city, and state agencies.
- Perform structural analysis and modeling using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit; review contractor submittals.
- Provide construction administration, site visits, and QA/QC oversight to ensure project quality and safety.
- Mentor junior staff and support business development through technical proposals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred; EIT accepted with plan to obtain PE.
- 3-6 years of civil engineering experience in municipal, transportation, or site development projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MS Office; familiarity with project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO, DOT standards, and local codes; ability to interpret and apply regulations.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities; client-facing experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and field data collection as needed (up to 20%).
- Seattle-based or relocation assistance available; valid work authorization in the US.
