Responsibility
- Lead civil design tasks for urban infrastructure projects from concept through construction documentation.
- Develop technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform hydrology and hydraulics analyses; oversee drainage and stormwater design.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies; manage project communication.
- Mentor junior engineers and review work for quality and accuracy.
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
- Professional Engineer PE license in Washington or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 5-7+ years of civil engineering experience in urban infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM workflows, and MS Office; familiarity with design software like MicroStation is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of drainage, stormwater management, grading, and roadway design.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed and work flexible hours when required.
