Responsibility
- Provide expert medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Review, interpret, and validate physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy.
- Participate in clinical rounds, contributing to patient care planning and decision-making.
- Monitor patient outcomes and respond proactively to potential drug interactions or adverse effects.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy processes and patient care protocols.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
- Active California Pharmacist License (in good standing).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of drug therapy and pharmacokinetics.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and EMR platforms.
- BLS or ACLS certification is a plus.
