Job description

NovaMind Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary practice in New York City. The ideal candidate combines evidence-based therapeutic approaches with compassionate, patient-centered care to support clients across adulthood and adolescence.

In this role you will collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and researchers to deliver high-quality mental health services, contribute to clinical training, and participate in outcome-driven research projects.

Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adults and adolescents.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, or integrative approaches) to individual, couple, and group clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and researchers to ensure holistic care and data-driven practice.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment when necessary; participate in on-call coverage as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and mentor psychology interns and pre-doctoral residents; contribute to ongoing clinical training programs.
  • Contribute to clinical research projects, data collection, and outcomes reporting; publish findings when possible.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA.

Qualification

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program;
  • Current and valid license to practice psychology in New York State (or eligibility for licensure);
  • Minimum 2-3 years of post-licensure clinical experience in outpatient settings;
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapies (CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, or integrative approaches);
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and case formulation skills;
