SummitPeak Construction is seeking a results-driven Construction Project Manager to oversee multi-site commercial construction projects in Austin, TX. You will partner with owners, architects, and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on leadership, ensuring quality and compliance across all phases of construction.
In this role you will lead cross-functional teams, develop robust project plans, and align stakeholders to achieve milestones. You will also drive risk management, procurement, and subcontractor performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibility
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and schedule development for commercial construction projects.
- Direct on-site construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors; drive issue resolution and change management.
- Monitor progress, prepare regular progress reports, and maintain critical path schedules.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards across all phases.
- Manage procurement, subcontractor selection, and vendor relationships; review contracts and change orders.
- Lead project close-out activities including commissioning, documentation, and lessons learned.
- Mentor junior staff and promote continuous improvement in construction processes.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience on commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of PM practices, safety standards (OSHA), and building codes.
- Proficiency with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and BIM tools; AutoCAD is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multi-million dollar projects and complex stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
