TerraLine Civil Constructors is hiring a Road Construction Project Manager in Dallas, TX. We deliver high-profile highway and street projects across the region. This role blends field leadership with rigorous project controls to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with safety and quality standards.
As a key member of our project leadership team, you will coordinate with clients, inspectors, and subcontractors to drive project success from planning through commissioning.
Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day management of road construction projects, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality targets.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project; monitor critical path and adjust resources as needed.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, RFIs, change orders, and risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with DOT/municipal authorities to ensure compliance with standards, permits, and approval processes.
- Oversee safety program on site, enforce OSHA regulations, and drive a zero-incident culture.
- Review design documents and shop drawings for constructability; facilitate field testing and quality control procedures.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and internal leadership; manage stakeholder expectations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PE license preferred.
- 5+ years of road/highway construction experience; project management experience on DOT-funded projects strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD standards, traffic control plans, and pavement specifications.
- Proficiency with project controls software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and common MS Office tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Safety certifications such as OSHA 30-hour and strong commitment to site safety; ability to implement safety programs.
- Willingness to travel to field sites and work in variable conditions as needed.
