TerraBuild Constructors is seeking a results-driven Road Construction Project Manager to lead highway and local road projects in the Dallas area. You will oversee field operations, coordinate with design teams, ensure safety, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
As a key member of our operations team, you will manage contracts, crews, equipment, and subcontractors while maintaining a culture of quality and safety.
Responsibility
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for road construction projects, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage budgets, cost controls, and procurement plans; track variances and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with designers, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and client representatives to align scope and expectations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA) and QA/QC procedures; promote a strong safety culture on site.
- Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Oversee permitting, right-of-way coordination, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and develop project teams, manage subcontractor performance, and ensure quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of road construction or civil works project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of road construction methods, earthworks, drainage, paving, and utility coordination.
- Proficiency with project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and CAD tools (AutoCAD).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to influence across teams.
- OSHA safety certification (Hazard recognition, 30-hour preferred) and PMP or CCM certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents; experience with permitting and regulatory processes.
