Join Premier Referees Agency as a Contract Referee in London. We supply qualified match officials to local leagues, cup games, and youth competitions across Greater London. As a contracted referee, you will be responsible for enforcing the rules, managing players and spectators, and ensuring fair play across assigned fixtures. We value professionalism, punctuality, and clear communication under pressure.
Responsibility
- Enforce the Laws of the Game and ensure fair play across assigned fixtures.
- Manage on-field communication between teams, players, and fellow officials to maintain flow and safety.
- Assess incidents and issue cautions or disciplinary actions with consistency and transparency.
- Conduct pre-match checks for equipment, uniforms, and pitch conditions to guarantee safety.
- Communicate decisions clearly to players, coaches, and match officials; manage crowd behavior when necessary.
- Complete accurate post-match reports, match statistics, and disciplinary records.
- Maintain fitness standards and professional appearance; plan travel and scheduling to meet assignments.
Qualification
- Minimum Level 4 Referee qualification or equivalent international certification.
- 2+ years of officiating experience in organized football or other field sports.
- Current safeguarding/child protection certification and familiarity with welfare procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of the Laws of the Game and adaptation across age groups.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage players, coaches, and spectators with professionalism and impartiality.
- Willingness to travel within Greater London and readiness for varied match times (evenings/weekends).
- Eligibility to work in the UK and reliable references from previous assignments.
