Job description
We are seeking experienced and passionate Referees to join our dynamic sports officiating roster in London. This part-time role is ideal for seasoned referees or ambitious officials looking to advance their career while maintaining flexibility.
As a Referee in our league, you will ensure fair play, enforce rules, manage players and coaches, and deliver consistent, high-quality officiating under pressure. You will work across weekend and weekday fixtures, contribute to a positive competition environment, and earn competitive compensation per match plus performance-based bonuses.
Responsibility
- Officiate scheduled matches in adherence to league rules and safety guidelines.
- Communicate decisions clearly and manage on-field disputes with professionalism.
- Maintain authoritative control of the match, ensuring player safety and fair play.
- Record match incidents, substitutions, and disciplinary actions accurately.
- Prepare for matches by reviewing team sheets, rules, and venue protocols.
- Collaborate with assistant referees and other match officials to ensure consistent officiating.
- Attend pre- and post-match briefings and participate in ongoing training sessions.
- Provide constructive feedback and contribute to a continuous improvement of officiating standards.
Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of refereeing experience in competitive leagues or tournaments.
- Official refereeing qualification (e.g., FA Referee Level 3 or equivalent) or demonstrated certification.
- Strong knowledge of the official rules, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of physical fitness and endurance to cover full matches.
- Ability to manage players and coaches with professionalism and calm under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and available for weekend and evening fixtures.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom and comply with league policies.
