Strategic Resilience Partners is seeking a senior Crisis Management Director to lead client programs, oversee incident response, and elevate organizational readiness across industries. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, working with executive leadership to protect people, assets, and reputation.
You will own the end-to-end crisis management lifecycle, from program design and governance to drills, communications, and post incident reviews. Responsibility
- Lead the development and governance of a comprehensive crisis management program across client engagements.
- Design and implement incident response plans, playbooks, and escalation procedures.
- Coordinate cross-functional crisis communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement during incidents.
- Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, and tabletop exercises to validate readiness.
- Oversee crisis drills, training, and simulations to improve organizational resilience.
- Manage client relationships and expectations, including executive briefings and post incident reviews.
- Partner with security, IT, operations, and legal teams to ensure cohesive response capabilities.
- Lead after action reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in business, risk management, communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years in crisis management, incident response, business continuity, or emergency management.
- Proven track record delivering high-stakes crises for complex organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading cross functional teams under pressure and coordinating with external partners.
- Experience with drills, training programs, incident simulations, and after action reporting.
- Travel up to 25 percent; ability to respond to incidents outside standard hours as needed.
- Relevant certifications in crisis management, business continuity, or risk management are a plus.
