Join NorthStar Resilience Group as the Director of Crisis Management in London. You will architect and lead enterprise-wide crisis preparedness, response, and recovery programs to safeguard operations, protect people, and preserve reputational integrity.
As a senior strategic leader, you will partner with executive leadership to align risk, resilience, and business continuity initiatives, while building a culture of proactive crisis readiness across the organization.
Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the enterprise crisis management program, incident command protocols, and recovery planning across all business units.
- Develop and test scenario-based crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, and training for executives and responders.
- Direct crisis communications strategy, coordinating internal messaging, external media relations, and stakeholder updates during incidents.
- Manage cross-functional crisis response teams, ensuring rapid decision-making, resource allocation, and effective escalation.
- Align crisis management with business continuity, risk management, regulatory requirements, and resilience initiatives.
- Provide strategic counsel to the C-suite on risk posture, impact assessment, and recovery timelines; deliver concise dashboards and briefings.
- Lead after-action reviews, root-cause analysis, and development of actionable improvement plans.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting and liaise with external partners during major incidents as required.
Qualification
- 8+ years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, emergency response, or risk management within complex organizations.
- Proven track record leading crisis response operations, communications, and recovery for global or multi-site enterprises.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive-level communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as BCM/BCP, CCEP, PECB, PMP, or Crisis Communications certificates.
- Expertise in incident command systems (ICS), decision-support tools, and data-driven risk analysis.
- Experience designing and conducting crisis simulations, training, and exercises across functions.
- Ability to perform under pressure, make rapid decisions, and maintain composure during high-stakes events.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in risk management, public administration, or related field preferred.
