Join a leading firm in crisis management to help organizations prepare for and respond to critical events. As a Senior Crisis Management Specialist, you will lead strategic response planning, coordinate cross-functional incident management teams, and advise C-suite on resilience.
In this role you will leverage your expertise in risk assessment, business continuity, and communications to minimize impact and restore normal operations quickly. This position offers hybrid options in NYC with opportunities for international exposure.
Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of crisis response plans, playbooks, and incident command protocols across enterprise-scale events.
- Oversee cross-functional incident management teams during emergencies and drills, ensuring timely decision-making and clear accountability.
- Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, and continuity strategies to minimize downtime and regulatory exposure.
- Advise executive leadership on strategic crisis communications, stakeholder management, and media engagement as needed.
- Coordinate training, exercises, and after-action reviews to continually improve resilience metrics.
- Manage relationships with external partners, regulators, and vendors to support rapid response and recovery.
- Monitor indicators, prepare executive dashboards, and report on risk posture to the board and senior leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Emergency Management, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of crisis management, incident response, or business continuity experience in complex environments.
- Certifications such as CEM, CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decisiveness under pressure; exceptional stakeholder management.
- Expertise with ICS (Incident Command System), crisis communications, and recovery planning.
- Proficiency with risk analysis, business impact analysis tools, and performance metrics.
- Ability to work across time zones, manage high-stress situations, and influence at the C-suite level.
- Proven track record of increasing resilience and reducing downtime in large organizations.
