Join a leading resilience firm dedicated to protecting organizations from disruptions and safeguarding people, assets, and reputation. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Crisis Management to architect and lead our enterprise-wide crisis readiness and response capabilities.
You will partner with C-suite stakeholders to design, implement, and continuously improve incident response, business continuity, and crisis communications across functions and geographies. This role demands mastery of crisis leadership, data-driven decision making, and the ability to translate complex risks into actionable plans.
Responsibility
- Lead the enterprise crisis management program, ensuring readiness across incident response, business continuity, and recovery processes.
- Direct cross-functional crisis response teams (Incident Command System) during events, coordinating operations, communications, and resource allocation.
- Develop, exercise, and refine playbooks, standard operating procedures, and dashboards to enable rapid, informed decision-making.
- Oversee crisis communications strategy with executive leadership, SMEs, and external stakeholders, including media relations and regulatory notifications.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments, scenario planning, and lessons-learned reviews to continuously mature capabilities and reduce response times.
- Partner with IT, security, operations, and business units to embed resilience into planning, vendor management, and capital projects.
- Lead training programs and table-top exercises to raise awareness and build organizational muscle memory for high-stakes incidents.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Security, Business Continuity, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 8+ years of crisis management, business continuity, or emergency response experience in corporate or public sector settings.
- Strong leadership, executive presence, and ability to perform under pressure; comprehensive knowledge of Incident Command System.
- Proven track record in crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and external coordination with regulators, partners, and customers.
- Experience in developing and exercising incident response playbooks, recovery strategies, and threat-hunting of critical business processes.
- Data-driven with excellent analytical, program management, and storytelling skills to translate technical risks for non-technical audiences.
- Professional certifications such as CEM/CBCP/FEM or Crisis Communications are highly desirable.
