NovaGuard Crisis Solutions is a leading consultancy delivering strategic crisis management, business continuity, and resilience programs for global organizations. We partner with executive leadership to anticipate, respond to, and recover from critical events—from cyber incidents to natural disasters and reputational crises.
We are seeking a motivated Crisis Management Lead to lead incident response, develop robust playbooks, and drive organization-wide resilience initiatives. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, guiding cross-functional teams, communications, and training programs.
What you will do in this role: oversee crisis governance, coordinate incident command, run exercises, and partner with PR, IT, operations, and risk management to ensure rapid, effective, and compliant responses.
Responsibility
- Lead the organization's crisis management program, including governance, policies, and incident response playbooks.
- Coordinate incident response during high-severity events using established command structures and clear escalation paths.
- Develop, test, and exercise business continuity and recovery plans to minimize operational impact.
- Manage stakeholder communications, both internal and external, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
- Facilitate training sessions and simulations to raise crisis readiness across departments.
- Collaborate with risk, IT, legal, compliance, and public affairs to align crisis strategies with regulatory and reputational considerations.
- Conduct post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of response capabilities.
- Advise executive leadership on risk appetite, response readiness, and resilience investments.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, business administration, security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in crisis management, incident response, or business continuity in large organizations.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional crisis response during major incidents.
- Strong understanding of incident command systems, crisis communications, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with executives and media.
- Ability to work under pressure, make decisive judgments, and manage competing priorities.
- Certifications such as CISM, CBCP, ISO 22301 lead implementer, or equivalent preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed and to be on-call for critical events.
