Responsibility
- Develop and execute innovative exhibition programs from concept to installation, including budgeting, scheduling, installation oversight, and risk management.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with artists, galleries, lenders, and institutions; review proposals and coordinate studio visits.
- Lead education and outreach initiatives including artist talks, tours, family programs, and community partnerships.
- Collaborate with marketing, development, and education teams to maximize audience engagement and fundraising opportunities.
- Oversee exhibition documentation, cataloging, and archival records; ensure conservation and presentation standards.
- Manage a small team and external contractors, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
- Evaluate program outcomes, prepare impact reports, and inform future curatorial strategies.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Art History, Curatorial Studies, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in contemporary art settings.
- Minimum of 5 years in curatorial or arts program management with a track record of successful exhibitions.
- Strong network within the contemporary art world and proven ability to cultivate artist and lender relationships.
- Excellent project management, budgeting, grant-writing, and reporting skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Experience with exhibition documentation, digital asset management, and catalog production.
- Proficiency with MS Office and familiar with gallery and museum standards for installation and preservation.
