Arcadia Fine Arts Gallery seeks an accomplished Curator to lead our dynamic exhibition program in New York City. You will shape our curatorial strategy, build meaningful relationships with artists, lenders, and institutions, and steward our contemporary and historical collections.

As Curator, you will collaborate with artists, researchers, conservators, and educators to design engaging exhibitions that resonate with diverse audiences and elevate our mission to democratize access to fine arts.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute ambitious rotating exhibitions and installations that align with the gallery's mission and audience.
- Establish and maintain relationships with artists, lenders, scholars, and cultural institutions to acquire works and secure loans.
- Oversee collections management, cataloging, and condition reporting with attention to conservation standards.
- Lead exhibition planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and project governance.
- Coordinate installation, interpretation materials, lighting, signage, and deinstallation workflows.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Education teams to create compelling catalogs, press materials, and public programs.
- Draft exhibition texts, wall labels, and scholarly essays; present at talks and gallery events.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, or a related field; equivalence of experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of curatorial or program management experience in an art gallery or museum setting.
- Strong network of artists, lenders, collectors, and cultural partners.
- Proven project management, budgeting, and grant-writing experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to write compelling wall texts and catalogs.
- Knowledge of conservation and handling standards for a diverse art collection.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by exhibitions and events.
