BrightLearn Education Group is seeking a passionate Curriculum Designer to develop engaging, standards-aligned K-12 content for diverse learners. This role blends instructional design, content creation, and data-driven iteration to improve student outcomes. Hybrid work options are available in Seattle, WA.
In this position, you will collaborate with teachers, subject leads, and specialists to craft high-quality learning experiences across core subjects, curate multimedia resources, and align curricula with state and national standards.
Responsibility
- Design standards-aligned K-12 curricula across multiple subjects and grade levels.
- Develop robust unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments with clear objectives and success criteria.
- Curate and produce high-quality digital learning resources, including multimedia content and interactive activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, subject leads, and ELL specialists to tailor content for diverse learners.
- Analyze student data and feedback to measure impact and iteratively improve materials.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in all resources, applying WCAG and UDL principles.
- Manage project timelines, version control, and content governance across teams.
- Lead professional development sessions and provide ongoing support to educators.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in curriculum design, instructional design, or K-12 classroom teaching.
- Strong knowledge of K-12 standards (Common Core, NGSS, state standards).
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Google Classroom) and content authoring tools.
- Demonstrated research, data analysis, and evidence-based decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Collaborative, cross-functional mindset with strong project management abilities.
- Commitment to equity and accessible design; familiarity with WCAG/UDL guidelines.
