Responsibility
- Lead engaging dance classes across levels and styles, ensuring safety, technical accuracy, and strong student engagement.
- Develop seasonal curricula and progression plans aligned with studio goals and student needs.
- Create original choreography for performances, showcases, and community collaborations.
- Mentor teaching assistants, provide feedback, and support professional development.
- Assess student progress, maintain attendance and performance records, and communicate with families as needed.
- Collaborate with studio management on programming, events, and safety standards.
- Attend auditions, rehearsals, and cast decisions; adapt rehearsals to diverse learning styles.
Qualification
- BFA/Bachelor in Dance or equivalent professional training; or 5+ years of sustained professional dance experience.
- Strong choreography portfolio with examples of original works and documented performances.
- Proven ability to teach multiple styles (e.g., contemporary, hip-hop, jazz) and motivate students across ages and levels.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of injury prevention, conditioning, and safe alignment; commitment to student wellness.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required; reliable with strong work ethic.
