As Stage Manager, you will lead rehearsals, cueing, call times, and on-stage safety, coordinating with directors, designers, and production staff to ensure seamless performances. Responsibility

  • Lead stage management for mainstage productions and company showcases from tech rehearsals to final curtain call.
  • Develop and maintain production calendars, call scripts, cue sheets, and rehearsal schedules.
  • Oversee load-in/load-out, cueing during performances, and safety protocols for cast and crew.
  • Communicate clearly with performers, crew, and leadership; manage on-call rosters and incident reporting.
  • Maintain production records, inventories, and post-show reports; ensure compliance with union and company policies.
  • Collaborate with artistic leadership to support creative processes while protecting artistic integrity.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during performances and adapt plans to ensure show quality.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Theater, Performing Arts, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of stage management experience in live theater, dance, or multi-disciplinary performances.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage high-pressure environments, and maintain composure under tight timelines.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, and familiarity with union agreements as applicable.
  • Proficiency with stage management software and production tools; experience with QLab, Dante, or similar cueing systems.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required.
