Pulse Studio NYC is seeking an experienced Dance Instructor & Choreographer to join our premium program. You will inspire dancers across levels with innovative styles, professional technique, and stage-ready performance pieces.
In this role, you will lead high-caliber classes, design original choreography for showcases, and collaborate with our artistic team to elevate the studio experience for students of all ages.

Responsibility
- Lead and adapt high-energy dance classes across beginner to advanced levels
- Design, teach, and refine original choreography for public performances and showcases
- Collaborate with the artistic team to plan seasonal curricula and repertoire
- Mentor students on technique, performance quality, and professional etiquette
- Choreograph pieces for studio events, collaborations, and community programs
- Monitor safety, provide feedback, and maintain a positive, inclusive studio culture
- Assist with auditions, class scheduling, and student progress tracking
- Conduct workshops and masterclasses to attract new dancers and retain current students
Qualification
- 5+ years of professional dance experience with strong performance cred
- Proven ability to teach multiple styles (hip hop, contemporary, ballet); strong technique base
- Exceptional choreographic ability and a track record of compelling performances
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Bachelor's degree in dance or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted
- Ability to adapt to diverse age groups and skill levels
- Commitment to safety, injury prevention, and inclusive teaching practices
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
