PulseDance LA is seeking a motivated Dance Instructor and Choreographer to join our vibrant team in Los Angeles. This part-time role focuses on contemporary and street dance styles, empowering students to grow their technique and performance skills.
As a dancer-educator, you will lead progressive classes, develop original routines, and collaborate on performances and shows. We value creativity, reliability, and a passion for nurturing dancers of all levels.
Responsibility
- Lead engaging classes for beginner to advanced dancers in contemporary and street styles.
- Design progressive curricula and choreography that align with studio goals.
- Choreograph routines for student showcases and community events.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students during and after class.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors on seasonal repertoire and workshops.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and professional studio environment.
- Assist with class scheduling, studio setup, and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualification
- 2+ years of teaching experience in contemporary, hip-hop, or related styles.
- Strong choreography skills and ability to teach multiple levels.
- Excellent communication, motivation, and stage presence.
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings and weekends.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
- BA/BS in Dance or related field preferred but not required.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to student safety and inclusion.
