We seek a talented Dance Instructor to inspire students of all levels with technical precision, musicality, and creative storytelling through movement. As a Dance Instructor, you will design engaging curricula, coach technique, and foster a positive, inclusive class experience. You will collaborate with choreographers and studio staff to deliver high-energy, safe, and technically rigorous sessions that energize our community.
Responsibility
- Lead and choreograph dance classes across styles, including Contemporary and Hip-Hop, for youth and adult students.
- Design age-appropriate, progressive curricula that balance technique, artistry, and performance.
- Provide clear demonstrations, hands-on corrections, and constructive feedback to all movers.
- Monitor safety, warm-ups, conditioning, and injury prevention to protect students.
- Prepare students for showcases and community performances, including event coordination.
- Collaborate with the artistic team on company pieces and studio productions.
- Maintain studio equipment and ensure a clean, welcoming learning environment.
Qualification
- 2+ years of professional dance teaching experience in a studio setting.
- Strong proficiency in hip-hop and contemporary dance; solid ballet basics a plus.
- Ability to choreograph original routines that align with student levels and program goals.
- Excellent communication, motivation, and mentorship skills.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain (upon hire).
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; willingness to travel for workshops as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Dance or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
