Pulse Dance Collective is seeking a dynamic Dance Instructor to join our award‑winning NYC studio. We nurture versatile movers, artists, and educators who push boundaries and inspire communities through movement.
As part of our creative team, you will guide technique, cultivate artistry, and contribute to collaborations across performances, workshops, and outreach programs.

Responsibility
- Lead daily technique-based classes across multiple styles (ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop) for mixed-level students.
- Design and choreograph original works for company performances, showcases, and community events.
- Develop progressive curricula and assessment criteria for students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Mentor junior instructors, provide constructive feedback, and lead coaching sessions.
- Collaborate with production, stage, and music teams to ensure polished performances.
- Plan safety protocols, equipment upkeep, and studio sanitation to maintain a world-class facility.
- Represent the studio at outreach programs, auditions, and regional competitions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Dance or 3+ years professional teaching experience in a studio setting.
- Proficiency in at least two dance styles with a strong ballet and contemporary foundation.
- Proven ability to choreograph, teach, and mentor dancers of diverse ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends in NYC.
- Portfolio or links to choreographic works and teaching demos; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
