Join MotionPeak Dance Collective in New York City as our Dance Program Director. We seek a strategic and creative leader to elevate our studio offerings, stage performances, and community impact.
As a senior driver of artistic and operational excellence, you will shape curriculum, mentor artists, and partner with executive leadership to grow our presence in the performing arts community.
Responsibility
- Lead curriculum development and program strategy for all studio offerings, competitions, and community classes.
- Design and implement audition, selection, and placement processes for dancers at all levels.
- Oversee production planning, choreography, rehearsal calendars, and performance scheduling.
- Manage budgets, fundraising efforts, sponsorships, and partnerships to support programs.
- Hire, supervise, and mentor teaching artists and staff; foster an inclusive, professional culture.
- Collaborate with marketing, events, and operations teams to promote shows and grow audiences.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards across all programs and performances.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in dance, arts administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dance education, company administration, or studio leadership.
- Proven record of creating and staging choreography for live performances.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills; ability to inspire diverse artists.
- Excellent communication, grant writing, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Budgeting, fundraising, sponsorship development, and event planning experience.
- Ability to travel for auditions, touring shows, and community outreach as needed.
- Proficiency with scheduling, CRM, and project management tools; comfort with data-driven decision making.
