Pulse Dance Collective is seeking a dynamic Dance Program Director to lead our growing studio in New York City. This role blends artistic leadership with program management to nurture dancers of all ages.

As the Dance Program Director, you will oversee curriculum design, audition processes, faculty development, and community outreach while ensuring a high standard of safety, inclusivity, and excellence. Responsibility

  • Lead development and ongoing refinement of the studio's dance curriculum across multiple genres and age groups.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise teaching faculty; manage scheduling, coaching, and performance expectations.
  • Oversee audition processes, student placement, progress tracking, and recital preparation.
  • Plan and coordinate performances, showcases, and community outreach events to expand the studio's reach.
  • Manage program budgets, equipment, facilities, and vendor relationships; monitor KPIs and reporting.
  • Collaborate with artistic directors on new program offerings, partnerships, and grant opportunities.

Qualification

  • B.A./B.F.A. in Dance, Arts Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in dance instruction, program management, or studio leadership.
  • Professional dance background with choreography and rehearsal experience.
  • Strong organizational, budgeting, and project-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community-outreach abilities.
  • Ability to teach across styles and ages and mentor faculty and students.
