Pulse & Movement Dance Collective is seeking a highly skilled Dance Studio Lead Instructor to join our dynamic Los Angeles program. This full-time role combines creative coaching, curriculum development, and studio leadership to deliver exceptional dance education and performance opportunities for students of all ages and levels.
As a Lead Instructor, you will design progressive curricula, choreograph showcases, mentor a team of instructors, manage class schedules, and partner with artistic directors for main stage performances. You will foster a positive, inclusive studio culture that emphasizes technique, artistry, safety, and personal growth.

Responsibility
- Lead and teach daily classes across multiple styles and levels, from beginner to advanced.
- Develop and implement engaging curricula and seasonal performance pieces.
- Mentor, coach, and evaluate junior instructors; lead ongoing staff trainings.
- Collaborate with artistic directors on choreography, casting, and production planning.
- Manage class schedules, enrollment tracking, and progress reporting.
- Ensure studio safety, equipment maintenance, and a welcoming environment.
- Represent the studio at auditions, outreach events, and community partnerships.
Qualification
- 5+ years of professional dance experience and 3+ years of teaching or studio leadership.
- Bachelor or equivalent training in dance or performing arts.
- Proficiency in at least two dance styles (e.g., contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, ballet).
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Ability to choreograph and arrange routines for performances and showcases.
- Experience with audition processes and casting for productions.
- Knowledge of injury prevention, safe training practices, and proper alignment.
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
