Pulse Dance Collective is seeking an energetic Dance Studio Program Director to lead our growing community in New York City. This full-time role combines artistic leadership with studio operations, teaching excellence, and program development. As the Program Director, you will shape a welcoming, inclusive environment for students across ages and levels, maintain high artistic standards, and collaborate with the artistic team to expand our repertoire and community reach.
Responsibility
- Lead and oversee daily studio operations, class schedules, and instructor coordination
- Choreograph performances for studio showcases, gala events, and outreach programs
- Develop and implement community outreach initiatives to engage schools and local organizations
- Manage program budgets, purchasing, and vendor relationships
- Mentor and evaluate instructors; drive professional development and curriculum quality
- Collaborate with artistic directors on season planning and repertoire
- Ensure safety, risk management, and compliance with studio policies
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Dance or related field, or 5+ years of professional dance and teaching experience
- Proven choreography and instructional abilities across multiple styles
- Experience in program management and budget oversight
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to conduct classes and lead workshops in evenings and weekends
- Understanding of safety protocols and licensing requirements for studios
- Network with local dance communities, schools, and performing arts organizations
