Join our premier Washington, DC based think tank as a Diplomacy Analyst. You will monitor geopolitical developments, translate insights into actionable policy recommendations, and support senior leadership in international engagement initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a results-driven professional passionate about shaping foreign policy and multilateral dialogue.
As part of a cross-disciplinary team, you will deliver concise briefings, contribute to policy papers, and represent the organization in diplomatic settings as needed.
Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth policy analysis on international relations, security, and foreign policy issues relevant to current global agendas.
- Monitor geopolitical developments and synthesize complex information into concise, decision-ready briefing memos.
- Prepare policy briefs, position papers, and testimony-ready materials for leadership and external partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials, international organizations, think tanks, NGOs, and diplomatic actors.
- Develop dashboards and quarterly reports to track diplomacy strategy outcomes and risk indicators.
- Coordinate cross-border stakeholder engagement events, roundtables, and policy dialogues.
- Support grant reporting, project proposals, and funding stewardship with rigorous documentation.
- Represent the organization at high-level events and in key meetings as needed.
Qualification
- Masters degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Security Studies, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in diplomacy, policy analysis, or international affairs.
- Proven ability to translate geopolitical trends into clear, actionable insights for policymakers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting policy memos, briefs, and testimony.
- Experience coordinating with government agencies, international organizations, and NGOs.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency with research methods, data analysis, and qualitative/quantitative assessment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with precision.
