We are seeking a results-driven Policy Analyst to advance our research outputs, policy briefs, and regulatory insights. This role offers exposure to national-level policy debates, collaboration with lawmakers, and opportunities to influence outcomes that affect millions.
As a Policy Analyst, you will translate complex data into actionable guidance, craft policy recommendations, and present findings to diverse audiences, including clients and stakeholders. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver high-impact research on areas such as healthcare, education, economic policy, and civic technology.
Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative policy analysis using public datasets and client data.
- Develop policy briefs, memos, and issue papers to inform decision-makers.
- Monitor and synthesize legislative and regulatory developments at federal, state, and local levels.
- Engage with policymakers, academics, and coalitions; participate in briefings and testimony support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into actionable strategies and communications.
- Present findings to diverse audiences and support advocacy campaigns.
- Manage research projects, track milestones, and ensure quality and timely delivery.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of policy research or analytical experience; government or think-tank setting a plus.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; proficiency with data visualization and statistical tools (Excel, R, Python, Stata) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
- Experience with legislative tracking, regulatory affairs, or advocacy campaigns.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of policy processes, ethics, and stakeholder engagement best practices.
