Job description
Global Accord Institute seeks a seasoned Senior Diplomacy Advisor to lead international engagement and policy advocacy across governments, multilateral institutions, and civil society partners. You will shape strategic direction, craft persuasive policy messaging, and coordinate cross-border initiatives that advance global cooperation and security.
In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders, represent the organization at high-level forums, and drive initiatives that translate research into actionable policy.
Responsibility
- Lead strategic diplomacy programs and high-level engagements with governments, embassies, and international organizations.
- Draft policy briefs, white papers, and position statements on priority issues.
- Plan and represent the organization at conferences, roundtables, and negotiation sessions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across policy, research, and communications to implement diplomacy programs.
- Monitor geopolitical developments and provide timely risk assessments and actionable recommendations.
- Build and maintain a diverse network of external partners, think tanks, and civil society groups.
- Advise on public affairs strategy, messaging, and stakeholder engagement to maximize impact.
Qualification
- Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- 8-12 years of experience in diplomacy, government affairs, or international policy within think tanks, NGOs, or government.
- Outstanding negotiation, mediation, and public speaking skills with a proven track record.
- Strong ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop actionable recommendations.
- Experience working with multilateral institutions (UN, EU, AU) and government officials.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, etc.) highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and work across time zones.
- Eligible for security clearance if required; commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality.
