Join the Atlas International Policy Institute as a Diplomacy Policy Advisor. You will shape international relations programs, monitor geopolitical developments, and support multilateral engagement with EU institutions and partner governments. This is a premium, full-time position based in Brussels with hybrid options.
We seek a proactive diplomat and policy specialist who can translate complex global dynamics into actionable strategies, policies, and advisory materials.
Responsibility
- Lead in-depth analysis of geopolitical trends influencing EU diplomacy and allied partnerships.
- Draft policy briefs, white papers, and position papers to guide senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate liaison activities with government ministries, ambassadors, international organizations, and think tanks.
- Design and manage multi-stakeholder engagement plans for high-level dialogues and forums.
- Monitor implementation of diplomatic initiatives and report on outcomes and risks.
- Support crisis communications planning and public diplomacy campaigns as needed.
- Represent the institute at conferences, roundtables, and academic collaborations.
- Mentor junior researchers and manage research projects with timelines and deliverables.
Qualification
- Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in diplomacy, policy research, or public affairs, preferably with EU or multilateral exposure.
- Strong understanding of EU institutions, international law, and cross-border policy processes.
- Proven negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into concise recommendations and briefs.
- Proven project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High ethical standards and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
