Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous policy research and impact assessments across federal and state levels.
- Monitor, summarize, and communicate legislative developments and regulatory proposals.
- Develop policy briefs, memos, and white papers for senior leadership and clients.
- Build relationships with policymakers, think tanks, advocacy groups, and coordinate stakeholder outreach.
- Design and manage data-driven analyses, including cost-benefit and equity analyses.
- Collaborate with communications and government affairs teams to craft messaging and briefings.
- Prepare materials for hearings, testify support, and workshop facilitation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, economics, or a closely related field; Master's preferred.
- 2-5 years of policy research, government affairs, or public sector analysis.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated proficiency in data interpretation.
- Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication abilities.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, and policy advocacy.
- Proficiency in MS Office and data visualization tools; familiarity with R, Python, or SQL is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and uphold a high standard of integrity.
- Knowledge of federal and state policy processes and regulatory frameworks.
