Join CivicBridge Policy Group as a Policy Analyst in Washington, DC. You will translate complex policy issues into clear analyses that inform high-stakes decisions across government, industry, and civil society.
We seek a proactive thinker with a data-driven mindset and superb communication skills to support policy research, legislative tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous policy research and quantitative/qualitative analysis to inform recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and summarize federal and local legislative and regulatory activity, producing concise briefings for leadership.
- Develop policy briefs, memos, issue briefs, and testimony-ready materials tailored for diverse audiences.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with policymakers, industry groups, NGOs, think tanks, and media partners.
- Transform data into clear visuals, dashboards, and executive summaries that support decision-making.
- Support strategic communications and advocacy campaigns with evidence-based messaging and collateral.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research, communications, and client services to deliver high-impact projects.
- Track project milestones, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs on tight timelines.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of policy research/analytic experience in think tanks, government, or advocacy firms.
- Strong knowledge of the federal legislative process and the DC policy landscape.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, and familiarity with R/Python or data visualization tools) and the ability to produce charts and summaries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex issues for diverse audiences.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and coalition-building.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work independently as well as in teams.
- Commitment to ethical research practices and high-quality, nonpartisan analysis.
